You better vote him in on the first ballot if there is such a thing. Like players stats get better from the first year their eligible from what their final year what a crock. Anyway what I'm hearing is a club house guy caught for selling illegal drugs and in trouble with the FBI blabbers out that he injected The Rocket with roids and we believe that crap? Hey Capoots, that like saying when back in the day when I was playing I saw numerous players shooting themselves up with roids (which I didn't) everyone would believe that? That's Crazy. Trust me I can come up with some real doozies if I wanted to and in the end I would have you believing that what I said was true. The fact is you can't control what is going to come out of someones mouth and just because they say it doesn't make it true. What ever happened to believe half of what you see and NONE OF WHAT YOU HEAR!!!! Or better yet, innocent until proven GUILTY!!!! When Big George Forman won the heavyweight championship @ 50 he must have been on roids, oh thats right he got lucky. Do and have roids existed in highscool, pro and college sports ahhhh ya! Hello let me not act dumber than what I am. Patrick, that like one of your old high school buddies saying their reason why you were such a great High School baseball player (Pat was very good if you didn't know it) is that you used roids! That wouldn't be fair would it? Both you and I and your baseball coach knows that this isn't true because your coach confirmed you were only a singles hitter but I won't go there. Pat, I know u will do the right thing and vote Mr. Clemmons in on that so called first vote! Keep up the great work and I look forward to an educated response MEAT HEAT!

YOUR BOY,

SPINDAWG

Comment on About Torre, Harbaugh And The Lions

Pat, I believe you are correct when you speak about both Torre being a true professional and class act, as well as your comments reference Steinbrenner. Everyone who does not live in NY knows Steinbrenner is an arrogant person and poor manager of the top notch Yannkee executives. I just hope A-Rod is listening to this fool publicly throw Torre under the bus, and decides to come to the Tigers and be our SS.

Regards, Scott

Comment on Tigers Should Consider Trading Bondo

Pat, I have to disagree with you on this one. I believe Bonderman will reach his potential here. I can't see dealing him for an older pitcher. He is a young stud horse who is not even 30 years old yet. He had a less than great season overall, and I am with you when you say his performance this past season was disappointing; however, as we all know, every player will have his ups and downs.

I enjoy your column in the paper, and respect you a great deal as a baseball expert.

Go MSU!

Regards, Scott

Comment on Tigers Should Consider Trading Bondo

Pat, I actually like the idea of trading Bonderman. He doesn't seem to show any indication of reaching his potential here for some reason. I thought they might want to trade him for a position player. But a straight up pitcher trade could be really interesting.

Cheers,
Danny

Comment on Debacle Example Of Lions Losing Culture

Pat the Book,

Finally, I found the pod casts. Actually, it wasn't too difficult to navigate to once I got to MICentral. After going through the list, I confess I enjoyed listening to these commentaries. Just as I do your sports commentaries in other media forums. What was most noticeable to me is how the sound's technical recording and editing is improving significantly with each pod cast. The first couple had me wondering if my CPU was deficient for listening to the 3 topics. To the sports!

I'm pretty confident that Jimmy Howard has NHL talent. Also, I don't think Ken Holland is blowing smoke (ala Vick) when he says that Howard has made a commitment to conditioning over the off season. What I have to wonder about is when he does make it to the Joe, how will he handle the inevitable boo birds that he'll hear. As life long Metro Detroiters, we both know that the question isn't if he'll be jeered at some point. But when he does get his baptism on the riverfront, how will he react to his initiation into the Winged Wheel net minders club. He could become the next Roger Crozier or he could be the next Tim Cheveldae but probably somewhere betwixt these two.

Comment on The Lions Stop The Run, The Lions Win

How is it that when Ford built Ford stadium he came to tax payers for some of the money, but now he's gonna black out games that are not sold out.If any public money is used the games should never be blacked out.

Comment on Tigers Effort Has Been There

Book,
I've been waiting for your podcasts - I'm glad you are doing them. I listened to all three and I remember each of those points in time.

In any case - good work, and as always - your the best. I plan to point a lot of distant friends and family here.
